Mission Statement Destiny's Daughters mission is to enrich young women's lives by equipping them with a positive self-image, and the appropriate social behavior and professionalism that will empower them to succeed in all areas of life. This organization's mission is to educate our young women with reference to their role in everyday society. We will explore the social graces the art of philanthropy, an Introduction to the arts and Cultural events. This program is based on self-respect, respect for others, and manners laced with good morals and ideals that produce unending rewards. Vision Statement This organization is designed to be the cultural and academic arm of our community. It exists to educate our young women as too their responsibility to be culturally and academically sound as they are spiritually sound. Members of Destiny's Daughters will learn to work as a team (Teaching Equipping Activating Organization ... Together Everyone Achieves More). They will learn respect for themselves as well as others; develop self-esteem, and an understanding that they are the future leaders of their community and their families. Our young women will become aware of the importance of community involvement and service. For a young woman to feel a sense of worth, she must feel that she belongs, and that her existence is meaningful. Just as family should provide the framework from which that sense of worth develops, a young woman's formal and spiritual education should include an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of individuals to the greater whole of society. What greater purpose will this organization have than to help a young woman in transition find herself, have that powerful realization someone needs me to help. We have a responsibility to provide opportunities that allow our young women to feel needed in the larger community so they do not develop a sense of self in a vacuum. We are living in a society where money has more power than God; When human life is worth less than someone's jacket where our young women have no self worth. We must instruct our young women about tolerance, unselfishness, and about giving. We need to teach them that sometimes we need to compromise or give up something that would be good for us as an individual so that what we are choosing instead is good for all. |
